Bryntirion
Adeiladwyd Bythynnod Bryntirion ar gyfer bobl ifanc yr ynys i geiso i'w perswadio i aros ar yr ynys, ac hefyd dod yn rhan o'r gweithlu mewn un o'r ffatrioedd newydd. Mae'r tai yn fach, ond mae ddigon o le i ddau o bobl, sef cwpl. Ac er bod y tai'n rhai rhad, mae safon yr adeiladu'n uchel. Mae yna gwres ganolog, sydd yn gweitho trwy dod a'r gwres sydd yn y tir i mewn i'r tai. Mae'r system gwres yn rhedeg o dan lloriau'r bythynnod. Mae yna hefyd sfof sy'n llosi pren, ar gyfer y tywydd oer iawn. Er bod y toeau yn edrych fel toeau llechen traddodiadol, mae'r llechen yn cynnwys technoleg newydd sy'n cynhyrchu trydan o'r haul. Gyda'n gilydd, mae defnyddio'r to i gynhyrchu trydan, ac suddo'r gwres o'r tir yn helpu, nid achud arian yn unig, ond yn helpu'r hinsawdd yr ydym i gyd yn dibynnu arni.

The Bryntirion Cottages were built for the young people of the island to try and persuade them to stay, and to also become part of the workforce in one of the new factories. The houses are small, but there is enough room for two people, say a couple. And though the houses are low cost, the standard of the build is high. There is central heating, that works by drawing the heat stored in the land into the houses. The heat is distributed under the floors of the cottages. There is also a wood burning stove for when the weather gets really cold. Though the roofs look very much like traditional slate roofs, they in fact include new technology that includes solar cell technology that enables the generation of electricity from the sun. Together, the solar panels on the roof and the heat drawn from the surrounding land helps, to not only save money, but also to help the environment upon which we all depend.
